Creative Self-Esteem in the Age of AI
Neural networks have entered creative processes so rapidly that many writers, artists, designers, and creators have experienced both excitement and anxiety at the same time. On one hand, AI offers instant assistance, endless variations, and helps overcome the “blank page” barrier. On the other hand, many creators begin to wonder: “If AI can do this in 30 seconds, why should I even try?”
Research conducted between 2023 and 2026 (including studies presented at ACM CHI, Creativity Research Journal, Frontiers in Psychology, and publications on human-AI co-creation and AI-augmented creativity) shows a complex psychological effect. For some people, generative AI increases productivity while simultaneously weakening the feeling of authorship. For others, it triggers imposter syndrome or changes internal motivation from “I create” to “I guide the machine.”
At the same time, some creators report the opposite effect: AI helps reduce perfectionist pressure and restores the joy of experimentation.
This webinar series offers a calm and honest exploration of how neural networks reshape the internal landscape of a creative person — motivation, self-esteem, sense of uniqueness, and fear of competing with machines. Without hype about “AI replacing everyone,” without promises to become a prompt engineer in a week, and without promoting specific tools — only an understanding of the psychological mechanisms and their influence on personal creative identity.
